چکیده

The growing use of wireless communication devices has been significantly increasing the level high frequency electromagnetic fields (EMFs) in environment, which raises a concern for possible deleterious effects on living organisms. Long lasting exposure to low-intensity EMFs can cause molecular and cellular level, number morphological physiological changes. aim this work was investigate 2.41 GHz EMF emitted by systems human erythrocytes after vitro irradiation. amount hemoglobin released from cells measured as an indicator membrane destabilization. Effects different times (20 min or 4 h) time elapsed pulsed continuous with intensities, textile (0.213–0.238 V/m) dipole (5, 20, 40 180 antenna, were investigated. obtained results showed that low intensity had no significant effect release irradiated cells; even slight tendency stabilization noticed 3–4 hours end 20-min 0.213–0.238 V/m, EMF. There difference EMFs. Increased observed only during 4-hour Under these conditions, temperature cell suspension rising, so we compared under conventional heating. Moreover, 1-hour V/m bit higher than control one but disappears within hour terminating In conclusion, power density below reference population does not change stability erythrocytes.

Down-Regulation of Metallothionein 1 and 2 after Exposure to Electromagnetic Field in Mouse Testis

Background: It is proved that testis is sensitive to electromagnetic field (EMF) and its damage results in infertility. Exposure to EMF induces reactive oxygen species production and affects on anti-oxidants defense mechanisms. Metallothionein (MT) is a name for a group of low molecular weight (6-7 kDa), sulfhydryl rich proteins. Expression of MT1 and MT2 genes in testis tissue after EMF exposu...

Down-Regulation of Lipocalin 2 Expression in Mouse Testis after Exposure to Electromagnetic Field

Background: The effects of electromagnetic field (EMF) on reproductive system have been of critical concern for a long time. It has been shown that the EMF can adversely affect testicular cells and tissue and decrease male fertility. The most important determinants of male fertility are sperm development and motility, which are affected by changes in several factors including lipocalin 2 protei...

Deficits on passive avoidance learning after exposure to electromagnetic field in male rats

The interaction of electromagnetic fields (EMF) with living organisms presents an increasing source of interest nowadays. There are reports on the influence of EMFs on memory. In this study, the effect of a 50 Hz, 50G EMF was investigated on passive avoidance learning in male rats. For this purpose, male Wistar rats (n = 50, 6-8 weeks, 250-300 g) were randomly divided into five groups. Control ...

Change in Oxygen Absorption of Human Adult and Fetal Hemoglobin Due to 940 MHz Electromagnetic Field Radiation Exposure

The effects of electromagnetic fields (EMFs) radiation at the frequency of 940 MHz on the structure and function of human adult and fetal hemoglobin (HbA and HbF) were studied. After extraction and purification of HbA and HbF, the oxygen absorption values for exposed and unexposed HbA and HbF to EMF were compared. The slope of oxygen absorption curve for exposed HbA was increased while that for...
